So here it is, another post and only 3 days since my last. Hey, I'm on it now...we'll see if it lasts. There isn't much to report really. I made it through this weekend's nasty weather. We had rain and then snow then blowing with snow. There wasn't much accumulation but with the wind it was awful. We had roads closed, snow plows called off the roads and people in the ditches left and right. Now the past few days, it's been bitterly cold. Tomorrow...more snow through Thursday.
I've still been editing though I'm only averaging one or two pages a day. The reason, I'm carefully chosing my words and my characters actions. The story is decent and I think it's something I can work with. The only trouble is my MMC is stubborn and doesn't want to do what I want him to do.
Other than that, I have nothing to say.
See ya!!

Random Fluff
I have this problem. I've had a blog for a number of years now (I think about 3 or 4 but I don't remember) and this is the worst I've been about updating. I use to update at least every other day, if not every day. Now I've just neglected my blog....not that anyone reads it anyway. LOL
NaNoWriMo went well this year...topped out with my highest finish yet...100,068 words. Not too shabby if I don't say so myself. Now it's just the slow process of editing and rewriting. I did well for a couple weeks and then I've slacked off because I'm feeling a bit lazy. Sometimes it's a good thing to let your story sit and simmer while you work on something else. Trouble is, I haven't been working on anything else, I've been vegetating in front of solitaire, free cell, spider solitaire and Wii. Yes, Wii. (I bought myself Family Game Night 2 and 3 for the Wii as my "NaNoWriMo--win #7 with double the words" prize.) Why am I doing this? The last day I wrote at any length I could feel my brains seeping out of my ears. I didn't want to look at any more words. This "post-NaNo symptom" usually hits me after I validate but it held off until last weekend and I think I know the reason why: I wrote longer into November than I ever have before. So in theory, I wrote longer so the "brain drain" struck later.
I had wonderful new music to write to this year: Bang by Rockapella. I actually listened to it while I wrote every evening; except I'd wake up the next day with one of the songs running through my head. It's not a bad thing considering all the silly commercial jingles from my childhood that could have been replaying over and over in my head as I made coffee. (For those of you that don't know, I grew up in the 70's...if you remember some of those commercials, you'll understand). At any rate, if there was ONE Rockapella album I had to recommend, it would be this one. Get yourself a copy, trust me. *evil grin*
I have a really cool cover for my NaNoWriMo novel this year...made for me by my good friend A. :) It's very neat and exactly the way I pictured the novel if it were ever published. AWESOMENESS. The cover is the wallpaper on my computer because I can look at it and say, "Time to get writing." Not that it's been happening because of brain drain but there you have it.
The weather here is supposed to get nasty today and tomorrow. If you know me, you then know I don't like cold weather, ice and snow. This weekend, joy of joys, we're supposed to get all three. YAY! NOT!!! Sounds like I'll be spending the weekend either in front of the computer or television. Let's hope it's the former and not the latter. I really need to get to work.
Well that's it for me, maybe I'll update more often then again maybe not.
