This is so not like me. I always at least update my blog at LEAST twice a week during November. I must be slipping...or getting old...or both...but I think I'll just go with busy.
If you're reading this and also doing NaNoWriMo this year, how's that going for you? Mine's going okay, but I have set my sights high this year...100,000 words instead of the usual 50,000 words. Why? Because I hit 50,000 last week, then I got sick the very next day. That day wasn't so bad, but the day after that...flat on my back...well almost because I still had to do all that typical everyday family stuff. (of course I did...I'm the mom, that's why.)
So anyway, I'm feeling better and starting to get back into the flow of my novel. So then what happens...my FMC does one single thing that RUINS my whole plot!!! ARGH! Now I have to continue writing to figure out exactly what's going to happen next. Sometimes I like it when my characters do this, it adds a bit of suspense (to me it does, you the reader won't see the suspense in my fretting about "WTH am I going to do NOW?") and it also keeps me perked up and ready to write.
Anyway, I'm going to get back at it....it's like plunging into a pool that isn't lighted during a blackout at midnight in the darkest forest. A bit scary, a bit dark, and requiring a whole lot of bravery.
